Introduction — who’s this?
Jul. 10th, 2025 03:22 amHello, Chase here, the person behind endlesstwanted ^^
I never got to make an introduction when joining Dreamwidth, so here are some questions about my likes, interview-type. Inspired by
sunshine_revival’s Friending Meme and their Challenge #1. I still have a lot to learn about this community and its functions, but I love meeting new people. Hope you’re all having a wonderful day!
Basics
Name: Chase
Age: mid-20’s, born in the 90’s
Location: Spain!
Other blogs/socials: I have the same username on my Ao3, Tumblr and Discord.
What do you post about? I’m gonna be honest, I haven’t built a journaling routine for Dreamwidth yet 😭 I basically post prompt cards and exchange letters.
What communities, if any, are you involved in? I love writing communities. Weekly prompts are really helpful for me to sit down and try to write some drabbles because I don’t often have the spoons for it. Outside of Tumblr, I am on the modding team of various Tumblr & Discord events: Flash Fiction Friday (a prompt every Friday, 24 hours to work on it!), Stucky Geek Events (prompts every month, special events here and there; currently in the Stucky Historical Fiction Mini-Bang writing time ^^) and Stucky Bingo (currently mid-round 6)
What kind of accounts do you like to follow? I don’t know many people here, so the people I often join the sames challenges with ^^.
Fandoms: Too many to count, but the main are MCU fandoms, One Chicago and whatever is my current hyperfixation.
Favorite Characters: Sam Wilson, Natasha Romanov, Bruce Banner (MCU); Sylvie Brett, Peter Mills, Darren Ritter, Hannah Asher, Kevin Atwater (OneChicago); Celina Juarez (current hyperfixation is The Rookie (TV 2018))
Ships: ooh I love rarepairs from the MCU! I have created at least five new relationship tags on Ao3 for them lol. Impossible ships too (canon who?), and some canon ships too. Depending on the fandom, I stan too many.
Things you're into but not fannish about: tons of movies and tv shows I liked but not actively create for, and artists I listen to but don’t really follow on social media and so on.
What’s the show that first pulled you into fandom life? I know my first TV shows (that I watched by choice and not like, on TV sat next to my parents) were Broadchurch and Hostages (the one with Toni Collette). However, the fandom that really pulled me into the fandom mode was Teen Wolf. I watched the first episode the night before we started learning about lacrosse in high school!
Which TV character do you wish you could have coffee with—and why? Carrie Mathison from Homeland, she was my first fictional character hyperfixation. Also Sylvie Brett and Peter Mills from Chicago Fire. Also, Tara Lewis, Alex Blake and Kate Callahan from Criminal Minds. And Celina Juárez from The Rookie. So many!! I just love my girls 💓
What genre of TV do you gravitate toward most often? Lately it’s been action. I also enjoy mysteries and thrillers so much. Stories about disappearances, sometimes police procedurals (because I often prefer one case per episode, something I can watch from time to time). All very down-to Earth, but sometimes a good sci-fic plot gets me (and it’s not like I’m going to say no to watching something 😂
Do you watch international series, and if so, any favorites? Almost everything I see is international thanks to streaming, but I love some Spanish gems as well! From the top of my mind I can tell you about Un asunto privado (an historical thriller with a female lead), Señoras del (H)AMPA (a comedic thriller about a group of mothers that go from strangers to partners in crimes) and Desaparecidos (about the Missing Persons unit of the Police, also with a female lead) ^^
Which film sparked your love for cinema? I shall look for my first logs in Letterboxd to find what really made me want to keep watching movies. It was Imperium, starring Daniel Radcliffe and Toni Collette ^^
Do you have a favorite underrated gem that nobody talks about? Deux Moi, a real-life French movie by Cédric Klapisch. (No, it’s not about love or a slow burn, it’s about life!) It was one of these movies that caught my eyes from the poster in the cinema and I walked in knowing anything about it to then walk out with my life completely changed.
What’s a film quote you find yourself saying in real life? “I don't think that a person should run unless he's being chased.” by Casey Connor (played by Elijah Wood) from The Faculty. Though it’s a lie, I also run for my life when concert gates open to get barricade.
What's your favorite movie soundtrack of all time? I know when I was in school I used to borrow this CD from the library that was the soundtrack of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and it was SO epic and exciting I played it to have my homework done! And some musical movies whose soundtracks I know very well are Encanto, La La Land and The Great Showman. Though if I had to choose just one, it’d be Lemonade Mouth!
Which artist or band shaped your music taste growing up? When I was a kid, my parents had just three cassettes we played on a loop on car rides: Bruce Springsteen's “Working on a Dream”, Fito & Fitipaldis’ “Por la boca vive el pez” and Kiko Veneno’s 1992 album “Échate un cantecito”. So rock, rock, and more rock!
Do you make playlists for your moods, or just shuffle everything? I started a playlist a few years ago to add all the spanish pop songs I found to discover new local artists, and it’s been growing up to 26 hours of music now. I normally put that playlist on shuffle, or one of the playlist I made for my favourite local bands and artists of songs Spotify (where I usually listen to music to) hardly ever plays if you shuffle by artist ^^
Do you listen to music while writing fanfic? Sometimes, but I need something to put my brain on ‘auto-pilot’ so I don’t focus on the music and it’s just there with me. flora cash are amazing because their music is so calming for me! Lately, to write fic the only albums that have helped me are Gracie Abrams’ “The Secret of Us” and Aitana’s “Cuarto Azul”.
What concert would you love to experience live? I’ve been lucky to have been able to see some of my international bands and artists live, but one I never got to see is Simple Plan! And as of right now, my favourite band (Veiniuno)’s third night at La Riviera (Madrid).
What was your very first fic about? It was for the MCU! Looking forward to it now it seems like it was pure crack, so we had Sam following Bucky from the Avengers Compound one night to find him trying to break into an apartment in town. Sam offers to do that, since he has the wings; Bucky refuses but allows Redwing to come with them. They run into a cat, retrieve some old files, and come back home. They talk about Bucky adopting a cat in the future :)
What trope do you never get tired of playing with? I’m a sucker for fluff and friends to lovers, characters to close together the line between friendship and romance is blurry and slice of life and domestic scenes.
Which fandom(s) do you write for most often? the top 3 (with more than ten fics) are: the MCU (and subsequent fandoms, I have over 500 works for them :), One Chicago (Chicago Fire is on top), and New Amsterdam (the tv medical drama from 2018) ^^
What's your favorite piece you've ever written and why? I have this fic called Thinking Back To Your Laugh, Your Smell And Skin, that is a MCU Steve Rogers/Sam Wilson fake dating fic I enjoyed writing so much. It was my first time writing this trope, I had never read it before, and it was all so new, but enjoyable! Also the title I got it from the lyrics of a song by my favourite band (Veintiuno), called A la orilla.
Miscellaneous Weird Stuff to wrap this up
Explain your username: I took inspiration from the username of one of my old, former internet friends at the time (around a decade ago, wow!), and combined it with my forever favourite boyband, The Wanted! I’ve been using this username since then ^^
Favorite season (it's ok if it's not summer): Autumn!
What's your vibe? I try to be mysterious but can’t help to overshare, my aim IRL is to be the peak of comedy and the vibes I bring to the function are total chaos 🫣
What is your summeriest fandom? (You can interpret this however you like….): Murdoch Mysteries, they played many seasons on a local channel last summer and that’s how I became a fan; and Veintiuno, my favourite band, because I’ve been going to see them at music festivals for the past two years :)
Opening song on your summer mixtape: Un beso a la mitad by Enol!
